Ora dopo Ora

It seems that the Clepsydra
Has been filled up with the Sea
To make the long, long nights appear
An endless time to me.
The incense-stick is burned to ash
The water-clock is stilled
The midnight breeze blows sharply by
And all around is chilled

Since the beginning of time, we have tried to grasp the passing of the hours — driven perhaps by necessity, or simply by wonder.

Today, machines and atomic clocks govern our every moment with ruthless precision. But once, time was measured differently. It was a ritual, almost a prayer. High among the jade-tinted peaks of the Chung-nan mountains, under pines where white cranes took flight, the guardians of time shaped the hours with their own hands. On discs of fragrant sandalwood or gleaming bronze, they spread snow-pure ash. With slow, deliberate gestures, they imprinted celestial patterns using intricate metal stamps — delicate spirals, sacred geometry. The grooves were filled with incense powder, ready to smoulder in an invisible dance of time. At special points, tiny beads of resin or rare artemisia released sudden perfumes — like whispered blessings carried on the air, marking the invisible rhythm of the day. More than simple censers, these were intricate instruments that combined ancient herbal knowledge, metalworking mastery, and aesthetic sensitivity to transform the burning of precious essences into a magical perception of time.
And perhaps, even today, there is no truer way to measure time than by surrendering to a thread of perfumed smoke, losing ourselves in the sacred luxury of the moment.

Oud Aged 6 years super fine green Silani oud oil, in its pure state. Tiny chips of super premium Borneo oud have been left to macerate in the finished product and then filtered at bottling time. In this one, oud is an opulent, rich, and aquatic forest with warm, spicy root notes. It frees the heart and encourages upward looking. Incense

Absolute derived by co-distillation following 3 years of maceration of Boswellia frereana and Boswellia bullata; tincture and essential oil in pure 96-proof food grade alcohol of Boswellia sacra (Green hojari) and rivae. Essential oil of Boswellia carteri and serrata. Following an extended aging period, all the facets of frankincense become evident: its smokier and woody nature, its more balsamic and lemony personality, and its more austere and liturgical nature. Incense unites the world on its fine trail of smoke, soothes agony, and reaches heaven.

Larch

Hand-harvested wild Siberian larch wood absolute (Larix sibirica), picked together with its resin, obtained after 2 years of maceration in pure 96-proof food grade alcohol. Reddish-brown luster besets and makes it possible to rid all of that which is unnecessary, and the essence could be rediscovered.

Rose

A blend of old rose oil – which, with its red facets, balances the warm-cool energy of larch – and Gallica rose (sandalwood oil-infused), which, with its primitive fruity undertones, brings in light.
