Oud A central element of the project, present in approximately 90 grams across the entire batch.
Two distinct varieties of wild oud took part in its making:
60 grams of Laotian Pusong wild oud, distilled in 2021, and 30 grams of Burmese wild oud.
The resplendent sweet-bitter tones of crystallized honey and raw sugar in the Pusong oud are tempered by the earthy, faintly smoky and leathery nuances of the Myanmar oud.
Together, they conjure the soil itself — opening a descent, a journey through the deepest roots of the subterranean heart.
The oud is potent — it draws one toward the very core of the earth.
Cistus

Another very important part of the project. A blend of essential oil and self-produced resin: from Cistus ladanifer L., animalic, sweet and earthy; from Cistus creticus L., fresher and more aromatic; and from Cistus monspeliensis L., drier, woody and subtly smoky.
With its sealed seeds and natural stickiness, it embodies the Mediterranean — mending the wounds, reviving scorched soil through its mycorrhizae, and feeding hymenopterans with its pure white flowers.

Roots

A co-extraction of fresh roots — wild gentian, Tuscan turnip, and rhubarb — intertwined with tinctures, later transmuted into absolutes, from the dried roots of angelica and galangal.
Gentian (Gentiana lutea L.) and rhubarb (Rheum palmatum L.) confer a refined bitterness and vital tonicity; angelica (Angelica archangelica) bears moisture, yet ascends like a towering spirit, imbued with an ethereal grace; galangal (Alpinia galanga), in an aromatic embrace with cardamom, releases both sweetness and fire, exalting the tangy, earthen piquancy of the turnip (Brassica rapa var. silvestris). Carrot (Daucus carota), finally, completes this intricate realm of rhizomes, imparting a subtle mineral sweetness. It merges harmoniously with the chosen oud, amplifying the tender, earthen power of the subterranean world — that generative force which gives life, summons the ancestors, venerates their presence, and consoles the soul.
