"Then, when all other lights are out,
And all is silent round,
The hammer's stroke we hear,
We hear the saw of carpenter,
Who with closed doors his vigil keeps,
Toils o'er his lamp and strives so hard,
His work to finish ere the dawn appear."
Il sabato del villaggio, Giacomo Leopardi

Another key pillar of the project. 30 g of Oud Wild Purple Prachim, a Thai oud used here at times to enhance the warm, enveloping, and spicy woody aspect at the base of the composition, and at times to highlight the wild, animalic, almost smoky facet of the jasmine accord. 30 g of wild Indonesian oud (Padang and Merauke), used here to intensify the woody character and create a foundation. Oud protects and lends a regal quality. The composition thus becomes almost a talisman.
CinnamonCinnamomum zeylanicum. A plant with a millennia-old history, queen of spices. It purifies, energizes and dispels cold. A powerful aphrodisiac whose aroma of sweet spice, without betraying its woody bark nature, pairs beautifully both with the jasmine harmony, enhancing it, and with the dry sweetness of aged wood. Here present as premium essential oil and tincture of Ceylon cinnamon bark.
WoodsA descriptive element of the project. They accompany the delicate gentleness of jasmine, immersing you in the workshop of a luthier. They are planks of different woods, seasoned and ready to become a soundboard. They are boards that will receive perfectly applied lacquer glazes. They are the origin of music. Represented here through the distillation of aged Muhuhu bark (Brachylaena hutchinsii), juniper wood, Ispinku wood (Ocotea quixos), Chamaecyparis lawsoniana wood, Tuscan pine wood, and Buaya wood (Aethoxylon sympetalum). Their combination brings nuances ranging from lightly smoky tones to resinous facets and the scent of slowly drying wood. It harmonizes with the warm, spicy sweetness of cinnamon and the shy arrogance of jasmine, creating a composition that is truly intense, long-lasting, and absolutely yet discreetly seductive.
